VIA University College
As one of Denmark’s largest university of applied sciences, VIA University College (VIA) develops and offers more than 40 programmes of higher education within health, business and social studies (https://en.via.dk/). Based on VIA´s eight research and development centres, all programmes build on the latest updated evidence. One of VIA’s research centres is entitled: VIA Research Centre for Health and Welfare Technology and the research programme “Health technology, Methodology-development and Ethics” specializes particularly in the social and ethical aspects of health technology.
VIA develops educational programs in close collaboration with employers, companies, municipalities, regional, national and international institutions. The education combines state-of-the-art research and learning environments with a thorough understanding of practice-related challenges and opportunities.

Cathrine Sand Nielsen (RN, MSN, Ph.D. in Education) is associated professor skilled in Nursing Education and education management. Nielsen has (together with colleagues from other research programmes in VIA) in 2019 developed a virtual reality game “Everyday Nurse” for nursing student helping them to envision, reflect and properly engage in the busy and complicated praxis as a future nurse (Video: LINK). Nielsen is member of the VIA Research program for Health technology, Methodology Development and Ethics at the Centre for Health and Welfare Technology. Her field of research is the practical aspects of nursing – and interprofessional education.

Ida Lunddahl Bager (RN, MSN) is associated professor in Nursing Education as well as Interprofessional Education across health care disciplines. Ida has participated in the development of alternative learning spaces and concepts. She includes the use of technologies in a simulated learning space in both the Nursing and Interprofessional curriculum. Bager is member of the VIA Research program for Health technology, Methodology Development and Ethics at the Centre for Health and Welfare Technology.
Christine Tram Widmer (RN, MSN) is associated professor in Nursing Education as well as Interprofessional Education across health care disciplines.
