Dr Smyth and Dr Finn hosted an open afternoon for staff and students on the 6th of June from 2.00 to 4.00pm in the School of Nursing and Midwifery on the ViReTrain project. The VR headsets/equipment was tested by students and staff. We also ‘casted’ the Irish scenario which meant that other students and staff could watch from their desks and join in the discussion.
Also, Dr Jordan and Dr Smyth presented the ViReTrain Irish scenario to group of Bachelor of Science Nursing Students from Villanova University, United States of America on the 17th May in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Galway. The students were all excited trying the headsets on and getting immersed into the scenario.
