We would like to take the start of a new year as an opportunity to inform you once again about updates and the status of the project (mostly from the German prospective).
Of course, we are sad that continued collaboration is no longer possible. However, the results of ViReTrain are still being used and worked on in small steps. In addition, we are also trying to raise awareness of the concept and the scenarios and establish their use outside the project group. In 2024, we visited additional schools and presented the results, for example at the ‘Lernwelten 2024’ in Innsbruck or at the lecture series of the German Society for Nursing Science (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Pflegewissenschaft e.V.). Thanks to an internal follow-up project, the second VR- scenario on post-operative care was realised and is available (unfortunately only in German).
We also plan to continue in the future. For example, you can get in touch with the Irish and German project team in person at the RCN Education Conference & Exhibition 2025 in Glasgow (31.01-01.04.25). Or you can register for our workshop ‘Digitale Medien in der Pflegebildung einsetzen’ at Münster University of Applied Sciences (unfortunately only in German).
